2nd Prize at the 4th EELISA Scientific Student Competition – Madrid
Viktória Gerő, an MSc student of our research group, participated in the 4th EELISA Scientific Student Competition hosted by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Her presentation in the Chemical and Bioengineering 1 section marked Viktória's first independent international conference appearance — and she was awarded 2nd prize by the jury! 🥈
Sincere gratitude goes to Dr. Erika Bálint for her guidance and continuous support, and to the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and EELISA European University for providing this inspiring international opportunity.
New paper published in ChemSusChem
Our latest paper published in ChemSusChem presents a flow-chemical synthesis of triazolyl phosphoramidates and phosphinamides using γ-valerolactone as a green solvent in a telescoped strategy.
New paper published in ACS Omega
This paper published in ACS Omega investigates inclusion complex formation of the antidepressant citalopram with β-cyclodextrin, mono-subetadex and subetadex, characterising the resulting complexes using various physicochemical methods.
New Horizon Europe Project Launched
Our research group has been awarded a major Horizon Europe grant focused on the development of green chemical technologies. The project runs for 3 years with a budget of €2.5 million.
Dr. Erika Bálint Named Researcher of the Year
Dr. Erika Bálint has received the Hungarian Chemical Society's "Researcher of the Year" award for her outstanding achievements in organic synthesis and green chemistry.
International Conference Co-Organisation
Our research group is co-organising the "International Conference on Green Chemistry and Sustainable Synthesis" (ICGCSS) 2026, to be held in Budapest, with more than 300 participants expected from around the world.
Three New PhD Students Joined the Team
At the start of autumn, three talented PhD students joined our research group. They will work in the areas of microreactor technology, biocatalysis and enantioselective synthesis.
New Publication in Nature Chemistry
A paper from our research group has been published in Nature Chemistry, presenting a new stereoselective synthesis method with significant practical applications in drug development.
New Development in 3D-Printed Reactors
The team successfully developed a new type of 3D-printed microreactor that is five times more efficient than the previous generation. Results will be presented at the International Microreactors Conference.
